WEBSITE CONTENT DEVELOPER

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Hours: ~5-10/week

In moment’s digital age, an easy- to- navigate, instructional website is the most precious dispatches asset. Sustainable Jersey City ® is looking for a professed Website Content inventor to join our platoon. The ideal seeker has specialized moxie in using Squarespace and can work singly in the creation, conservation of content for Sustainable JC’s website. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web services and program operations is preferred, but not necessary. The web inventor will also concentrate on SEO optimization for the association. 


Please note this is a volunteer position.


Objectives of this Role

  • Produce a website and stoner interface using a website development platform like Squarespace, along with standard HTML/ CSS practices, while incorporating data from back- end databases and services 
  • Develop and validate testing schedules to insure content is accessible across all cybersurfs and bias 
  • Create / update pages as new project and campaigns emerge

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with teams to understand project scope and specifications
  • Work quickly and carefully to complete small edits on website pages
  • Integrate website with third party applications, including Mailchimp, PayPal, Eventbrite, and Salesforce, among others

Preferred Skills

  • Experience planning and developing websites across multiple platform
  • Working knowledge of web operations, programming languages, and web services, similar as APIs, CSS, CSS3,cross-browser comity, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, security principles, REST, Cleaner, and web stoner interface design( UI) 
  • Proficiency with content operation systems, including WordPress and Drupal
  • Experience with Data liar and capability to develop simple data visualizations
  • Fidelity to innovative, sophisticated designs and cooperative problem working
  • Working experience in Windows and Linux surroundings
